Although she’s from South Florida, Emily felt pulled to the mountains since a childhood trip to Grand Teton National Park. After graduating from University of Florida in 2018 with a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, she began traveling the country working seasonal natural resource jobs. Oregon, Washington, and Illinois were all shortly called “home” before she finally moved to Utah in early 2020. After finding her groove in outreach and leading volunteers for the Utah Conservation Corps, she decided to branch out and give guiding a try. When not backpacking or exploring she’s planning for future adventures, baking pies, or watching cat videos.
Most memorable outdoor experience:
“I took a college course camping in the Rocky Mountains for three weeks one summer. Every day was packed with coursework and adventures from early morning to late night with about 20 other students from around the country. It was an incredible experience and was one of the times I felt most comfortable with my direction in life, knowing “yes, the outdoors are my passion”.
