Tyler’s curiosity has led him along a path of exploration and adventure. He taught English in China, explored Vietnam and Laos by motorcycle, worked on and sold yachts in Florida, and volunteered at farms and hostels to fund his travels around Latin America. This same curiosity brought him to Utah in the winter of 2021 where he fulfilled a lifelong dream of working at a ski resort. Tyler is a firm believer in the therapeutic powers of physical exercise, expanding one’s comfort zones, and being immersed in nature. Sharing this passion for life and adventure with others is what drew him to be an adventure guide. In his free time, Tyler enjoys playing beach volleyball, hiking to Alpine lakes to hang in his hammock, and skiing.
Most memorable outdoor experience:
“I took a 3 month motorcycle trip throughout Vietnam and Laos. I have so many great memories from that trip but one particular portion that sticks out was a 3 day trekking trip I took through the jungle in Laos. We slept in hammocks under the stars, bathed in a waterfall, and foraged a large portion of our food. The guides were unbelievable. They could live off the land with their knowledge of the flora and fauna, moved easily through the dense jungle in just sandals, and were some of the most positive, gracious humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.”
